To continue to honor our Earth Day commitments, our AirDoctor team spent the day on June 27th, volunteering with TreePeople, an LA-based non profit focused on reforesting urban spaces, restoring natural ecosystems, and building a greener, more resilient future.
We started the day by going around in a circle with each person completing the sentence: "Nature makes me feel..."
Some of the responses included: "Alive." "Grounded." "Calm."
This was a powerful reminder that clean air and a healthy planet aren't just environmental issues ā they're essential to our personal well-being, clarity, and peace of mind.
Then we got to work. By the end of the day, we planted native species, watered and mulched plants, collected seeds for future restoration efforts, and removed invasive species in an effort to help the local ecosystem thrive. Additionally, we helped care for more than 300 native plants and maintained 500 linear feet of trail.
This volunteer event helps support the mission to protect people's health and the planet by promoting reforestation, ecosystem restoration, and cleaner indoor air.
How Do Trees Help Improve Air Quality?
Trees play a crucial role in improving air quality through photosynthesis. This natural process, where trees absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) and release oxygen (O2), helps reduce levels of CO2, a greenhouse gas, that contributes to global warming and air pollution. Additionally, trees act as natural filters, trapping airborne particles such as dust, pollen, and smoke on their leaves and bark, helping to purify the air.

As part of our commitment during Earth Day 2025, we're proud to announce our pledge to be a Silver Tier donor to TreePeople. As part of our ongoing commitment to support clean air, in 2024, we donated more than 30,000 trees to One Tree Planted through our Earth Day and Black Friday holiday campaigns ā because we firmly believe that clean air starts with a thriving planet.
