Don’t Be Fooled by HEPA Air Filters — Dust, Dander, and Pollen Aren’t the Only Dangers
Trap the real threats: VOCs, gases, bacteria, viruses, and smoke particles. Stop letting them penetrate your lungs, circulation system, and blood-brain barrier — putting you at risk for cognitive decline, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson’s disease.
Your air may look clean — but it’s not. According to the EPA, indoor air is typically 5-6x more polluted than outdoor air… and sometimes up to 100x more polluted!
Along with outside air pollution (which enters through your windows, vents, and HVAC system), your indoor air is contaminated by everything from carpets and candles to deodorants and cleaning products.
Heart disease
Brain fog & Memory loss
Alzheimer’s Dementia
Cancer
In 2020, The Lancet, a prestigious medical journal in England, added air pollution as a risk factor for Alzheimer's. They found that people who live in higher pollution areas have much higher levels of memory problems and dementia.
While HEPA filters remove dust, dander, and pollen down to 0.3 microns, the HEPA standard is simply not enough!
Some HEPA Filters Leave You Vulnerable to the Smallest, Most Dangerous Irritants Like…
… Plus Gases and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) That Can Damage Your Nervous System and Contribute to Cancer
Gases and VOCs come from:
HEPA filters also leave you exposed to off-gassing from:
Live Near a Busy Street? Or Within 2 Miles of a Freeway?
Your Indoor Air May Be Causing Mental Decline
A joint study by UCLA and USC found that children’s IQ test scores correlated with their distance from major freeways. Kids as far away as two miles had measurable decreases. And kids within a half mile had the worst IQ scores.
Even in adults, studies have shown a correlation between nitrogen dioxide exposure and increased risk of dementia, including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases.

Indoors, Mold Spores Have Nowhere to Go Besides Your Lungs
Outdoors, mold spores get dispersed in the air. But indoors, mold can grow out of sight, filling your air with dangerous spores and mycotoxins that have nowhere to go — other than your lungs or a high-quality air filter.
Mold spores can cause symptoms like:
Mycotoxins are chemical byproducts released by molds and spores. They’re much smaller and more toxic than mold spores. Exposure can put you at risk for:

Montessori and Waldorf Schools, Hospitals, and Medical Centers Rely on the AirDoctor to Protect Their Students and Patients
Not only that, but dental centers, universities, libraries, gyms, and military bases also rely on the AirDoctor to protect the people they employ and serve.
No wonder Dr. Gundry’s interview with our CEO, Peter Spiegel, went viral with over 4 million views on Instagram!
No wonder doctors use it in their own homes, and our customers rave about relief from debilitating health issues.
In a Head-to-Head Comparison, AirDoctor Outperforms HEPA Filters!
HEPA filters don’t remove particles smaller than 0.3 microns, such as smoke particles, burnt petroleum, ultrafine dust, bacteria, and viruses. These particles are so tiny, they penetrate your lungs, invade your circulation system, and cross your blood-brain barrier.
Independent lab tests show that the AirDoctor’s UltraHEPA filter captures 99.99% of airborne particles as small as .003 microns in size. That’s 100x smaller than standard HEPA filters! What’s more, in a standardized test room, AirDoctor removed 99.99% of a test group of 11 bacteria and viruses.
Better At Removing Toxic Gases, VOC’s, and Chemicals
Most HEPA air filters offer little protection from VOCs and gases like nitrogen dioxide. They have thin carbon spray or carbon-impregnated fabric so flimsy that the carbon gets deactivated within one day of using it!
Our dual-action carbon / gas trap / VOC filter is thicker and denser than most others, so it won’t need replacement for six months. Plus, it’s catalyzed with potassium permanganate, which means along with odors from pets and cooking, it captures dangerous ozone, toxic gases, VOCs, chemicals, and off-gassing from furniture, building materials, paint, carpeting, household cleaners, and even formaldehyde.
Sealed System Cleans Air Better
Most HEPA air filters are NOT sealed around the edges. So much of your air goes around the filter. Even particles larger than 0.3 microns — dust, dander, and pollen — aren’t removed.
The AirDoctor has a sealed system, forcing 100% of your air through its UltraHEPA filter and dual-action carbon/VOC filter.
Auto-Mode Removes The Guesswork
Most air purifiers can’t sense when a room in your home becomes smoky or polluted, so they stay on the same setting until you change them manually.
AirDoctor air purifier has a built-in sensor, monitoring your air quality and automatically adjusting to changing particle levels. Its light turns red when air quality is poor, orange when cleaning, and blue when safe.
30% Quieter So You Can Sleep Soundly
Many filters have cheap, noisy fans and bright lights that can disturb your sleep.
AirDoctor’s proprietary Whisperjet fan is 30% quieter than fans in competing models. And you can dim the lights.

Mold results from:
It’s true that every HVAC system, heat, ventilation, and air conditioning system has its own filter. But its purpose is only to protect the equipment by preventing larger particles, like bigger dust particles or animal hair, from damaging the system. It does very little to improve the quality of your air.
What’s more, HVAC systems only change your air once every 1-2 hours. Not 5 times per hour, as recommended by the CDC.
Not to mention that they won’t remove gases, VOCs, or ultrafine irritants smaller than 0.3 microns.
Air changes per hour (ACH) refers to how many times the air is changed with new, clean air in a given space within the span of an hour. A Harvard University Study cited by the CDC recommends at least 4 air changes per hour to effectively remove allergens like smoke, bacteria, viruses, dust, and pollen.
CADR, or Clean Air Delivery Rate, refers to your air purifier’s efficiency in removing these three contaminants over time: pollen, dust, and smoke. Higher CADR numbers indicate better air cleaning performance. The smoke CADR number is most stringent, reflecting the unit’s ability to eliminate the smallest and most dangerous particles from your indoor air.
Great question! Choosing the right air purifier will depend on the size of your room and the air circulations per hour. According to the Harvard University study, 4 air changes per hour are recommended for optimal purification. AirDoctor units are designed to meet this standard.

To see if you qualify, follow the steps below after making your purchase:
The Commercial purifiers were initially designed for schools, community buildings, and government officers and come with an UltraHEPA® and a Double Pleated Pre-Filter. The double pleated pre-filter is designed to capture larger contaminates such as ash and debris from wildfire, pet hair, and dust. These pre-filters meet the HEPA4 standard, providing an extra layer of filtration. The UltraHEPA® filter captures ultra-fine particles as small as 0.003 microns, including allergens, bacteria, viruses, and wildfire smoke.
Genuine AirDoctor VOC filters are compatible with commercial units and can be added easily to increase protection from harmful gases.
The Commercial units do not come with a VOC filter, and they do not have an Auto mode or indicator light like the consumer models.
When changing your filters, consider the following:
3000M – If you have the AirDoctor 3000M, you can replace your existing double pleated pre-filter with a new one, or you can replace the double pleated pre-filter with a Carbon/VOC filter at any time. The Carbon/VOC comes with its own attached pre-filter.
5000H – If you have the AirDoctor 5000H, you can either replace the double-pleated pre-filter with a Carbon/VOC filter or add the Carbon/VOC filter to the pre-filter and UltraHEPA. The 5000H can accommodate all three filters simultaneously, providing extra protection. Note: Using all three filters may slightly reduce the CADR.
