The smoke CADR number is most stringent, reflecting the unit’s ability to eliminate the smallest and most dangerous particles from your indoor air.
Which air purifier is right for me?
Great question! Choosing the right air purifier will depend on the size of your room and the air circulations per hour. According to the Harvard University study, 4 air changes per hour are recommended for optimal purification. AirDoctor units are designed to meet this standard.
How often should I change the filters?
The change filter alert will let you know when it’s time to change a filter, so you’ll never have to guess.
Environmental factors can effect your filters, but typically we recommend:

- Carbon/VOC filter: Every 6 months
- Change the filter every 6 months for both the AirDoctor 1000 and AirDoctor 4000 models.
The pre-filter is included with every Carbon/VOC. To extend the life of the pre-filter we recommend vacuuming it once a month. Additional pre-filters are available for purchase on our website.
