The model’s air changes per hour (ACH)
ACH measures cleaning frequency—how many times a particular model circulates (cleans) the air in a room in 1 hour.
A Harvard University study cited by the CDC recommends at least 4 air changes per hour to effectively and efficiently remove allergens (dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, etc.) smoke, bacteria, and viruses.*

How often should I change the filters?
The change filter alert will let you know when it’s time to change a filter, so you’ll never have to guess.
Environmental factors (like how dirty your air is) can affect filter life, but the typical timeframe is:
- UltraHEPA® filter: Every 12 months
- Carbon/VOC filter: Every 6 months
The pre-filter is reusable. We suggest vacuuming it with a brush attachment once a month.
